Who processes your data
The controller is Apostolos Tabaxis (sole proprietorship), Greek tax ID (ΑΦΜ) 179063050.
For anything about your data: team@hellasfuture.com
What data we collect
If you just read: you don't need an account and we don't ask for any of your details. We don't use tracking cookies and we have no advertising networks. Like every website, our hosting provider logs technical details of each visit (e.g. IP address) for security and to keep the site running; we don't use them to identify you.
Reader accounts: discontinued. On October 8, 2026 we deleted all reader accounts and their data (email, name, profile photo, likes). Only the site's administrators can still sign in with a Google account. We don't offer comments or likes.
If you join our email list: your email address; the language (Greek or English, from the page you signed up on); what you chose to get (the Monday issue, breaking news, new Roadmap videos and courses) and for which topics (all, or the ones you picked from Models, Safety & Rules, Open source, Business, Greece & EU); when you asked to subscribe, when you confirmed and, if you leave, when you unsubscribed. We also keep a consent history: for each sign-up, confirmation, change of choices or unsubscribe, what happened, when, from which page and exactly which text you saw. For each send we keep who it went to and whether our email provider accepted it. We do not record your IP address. Our emails contain no tracking pixels or tracked links: we don't know whether you opened an email or what you clicked. On the device you subscribe from, the site also keeps a small note in your browser so it doesn't ask you again. That note never leaves your device.
If you send us a request from the homepage or a service page:
- In the «Κλείστε δωρεάν γνωριμία» (book a free introduction) form: your name, your business (if you fill it in), your phone number, the services you're interested in and how you'd like us to contact you (phone, Viber, WhatsApp or email); and your email address, only if you choose to be contacted by email.
- In the «Προτείνετε συνεργασία» (propose a partnership) form: your name, your company (if you fill it in), your email address, your phone number and the description of your proposal or idea.
Both forms also record the page the request was sent from and its language (Greek or English).
These details are not stored in the website's database; they are sent as an email to team@hellasfuture.com, our Google Workspace mailbox, where we read them in order to reply. The page uses no cookies for this.
If you message us on Viber or WhatsApp: the conversation happens inside the app you choose, and that app's own privacy terms apply to whatever it processes. We only see what you send us.
Traffic statistics: aggregated and anonymous, with no cookies and no user profiles (Vercel Analytics). We cannot identify you from them.
Roadmap videos: nothing loads from YouTube or Google until you press play. When you do, the video plays from youtube-nocookie.com, and from then on Google's privacy terms apply.
Roadmap progress: which lessons you marked as done is kept only in your device's browser; it never leaves your device.
Affiliate links: some articles include a "Try it" box with an affiliate link, marked as such. If you follow it, the tool's own site may record that you came from HellasFuture, under its own privacy terms. The link sets no cookie on our site.
Why we process it, and on what legal basis
- Email list — with your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by clicking the confirmation link in the email. Without that click you are not added. You can change what you get or unsubscribe at any time from the links in every email. If you subscribed before we moved the list from beehiiv (our previous provider) to our own database, you had confirmed your subscription there; we moved only confirmed subscriptions.
- Consent history after you unsubscribe — legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): so that, if there is ever a complaint, we can show that every email we sent you had your consent. We keep only what happened, when, from which page and with which text, not what you had chosen. If you ask us to delete it, we do.
- Your address and the date after you unsubscribe — legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): so we don't email you again.
- Requests from the forms — to reply to your request and suggest a solution, with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by ticking the relevant box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and we then delete your request.
- Security and abuse prevention (e.g. mass, automated email-list sign-ups or form messages) — legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who receives it
We use third-party providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, including our email list, and administrator sign-in.
- Vercel — website hosting and traffic statistics.
- Resend — sending our list's emails and delivering form messages to our email. The emails are sent from a data center in the EU (Ireland).
- Google — our email (Google Workspace), where form messages arrive; Google sign-in for administrators; and the Roadmap videos (YouTube), only after you press play.
We do not sell data and we do not give it to advertisers.
Transfers outside the EU
Our database is in a data center in the EU. Some providers may process data in the United States. For each one, the basis for the transfer is the one it states itself:
- Vercel — the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which it is certified, and, where required, standard contractual clauses.
- Google — the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which it is certified, and, where required, standard contractual clauses.
- Resend — our emails are sent from a data center in the EU (Ireland). Resend is a U.S. company, so for any processing that happens there, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework apply, under its data processing agreement.
How long we keep it
- Email list: for as long as you are subscribed. Every email has a link to change what you get and an unsubscribe link (and a one-click unsubscribe button, where your email app shows one).
- Sign-ups that are never confirmed: deleted after 30 days.
- If you unsubscribe: we keep your email address and the date, so we don't email you again, and the consent history, without your choices, for 3 years; then it is deleted automatically. If you ask us to delete them, we delete all of it right away, the consent history included.
- Who each email was sent to: 90 days after the send.
- Requests from the forms: as long as needed to reply to you and, if we don't end up working together, for at most 12 months. If we do work together, for as long as the collaboration and tax law require.
- Statistics: aggregated, with no personal data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to object to its processing, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
We don't make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we don't build profiles.
Write to team@hellasfuture.com and we will reply within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Cookies and browser storage
We use only what is strictly necessary: a sign-in cookie, used only by the site's administrators, and three settings kept in your browser — whether you prefer the dark or light theme, whether you have already subscribed from this device, and your Roadmap progress. To choose the language on your first visit, we use the country you are connecting from, which is used only for that and is not stored; a language cookie (hf_lang) then remembers your choice for one year. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why we don't show you a consent banner.
Children
The service is not aimed at children under 15 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If anything material changes, this page and the date at the top will be updated. If this English version and the Greek version ever differ, the Greek version applies.
