Source of truthgrnet.gr/…/ανακοίνωση-πρόσκληση-συμμετο…GRNET has put the tender document for an open above-threshold tender out for public consultation from October 16 to October 31, 2026. This is a consultation on the draft, not the tender itself. It covers the purchase of computing equipment, storage and software for the project “Green Data Center and Supercomputer of Western Macedonia”: a high-performance system for AI applications and sensitive-data analysis, to be housed in the University of Western Macedonia’s new green data center. The budget is €21,572,294.95 including VAT (€17,397,012.06 before VAT), from the Just Transition Fund. Delivery is due within 12 months of signing, with a 5-year warranty. Interested companies comment through the ESIDIS system (promitheus.gov.gr). Separately, on October 6 GRNET, as coordinator of the PHAROS AI Factory project, hosted a representative of VEZILKA, North Macedonia’s AI Factory, to explore cooperation.
