Eurobarometer: 15% of employees report AI-generated scams
Three in four EU employees saw suspicious messages at work; 15% reported AI-generated scams, and only 48% say they can spot a fake video.
Source of truthdigital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/…/three-f…The European Commission published a new Eurobarometer survey on cyber threats at work on September 30, 2026, as European Cybersecurity Month begins. Three in four employees in the EU saw suspicious emails, messages or links at work. Phishing was the most common, at 39%, while 15% reported AI-generated scams. Only 48% say they could recognize a fake video made with AI; 83% consider the consequences of a cyberattack serious. Figures by country, and so for Greece, are not on the pages we read. For a Greek business, one useful figure: according to ENISA, only 45% say their organization sends regular security updates, while 85% want to improve their skills.
