Anthropic releases Claude Sonnet 5.5 at the same price as Sonnet 5
A new Sonnet with no price change: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. According to Anthropic, it is faster and cheaper per task.

It costs the same as Sonnet 5: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. According to Anthropic, it runs more than 30% faster and, because it needs fewer tokens, costs up to 30% less per task. On Terminal-Bench 4.0, a coding benchmark, the company reports 70.6% against 10.3% for Sonnet 5. It is already available on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure as well. Why it matters: anyone already paying for Sonnet gets a new model with no price increase.
